NC Fusion Boys College Nights

On Tuesday September 4th UNCG Mens Soccer Program hosted NC Fusion Night as they were taking on High Point University for a non-conference game. Our U11-14 DA  and U13-14 ECNL boys got to train on UNCG's training field next to the stadium before kickoff. Assistant coaches Jeff Bateson and Mike DeMara came out to thank all the players for attending while giving them a few motivational words on working hard as there were quite a few number of Fusion Alumni playing for both schools that night. The game was a 5-goal thriller with UNCG going up 2-0 at the half, before HPU came back in the second half with 3 unanswered goals. At the halftime the U11 and U12 players got to scrimmage on the field in front of the spectators. A huge thank you to the UNCG Men's Soccer team for hosting us again.

We are looking forward to our next college nights Hosted by Elon University on Wednesday September 19th when they take on App State, and Wake Forest University on Friday October 26th, when they take on Louisville.

The purpose of our college nights is to show our support for our Community college programs. We are so fortunate to have some of the best college soccer teams located in the Triad, and we want to support them in their regular seasons. We also want to provide our players the opportunity to see the “next level" of soccer after the Fusion. We hope it gives the players a long term goal to Develop their game to the level needed to be recruited to play college soccer and also feel its helps them stay Humble and realistic when they get to see first hand the high level. Among the various teams we will be watching during our college nights there are over 20 former NC Fusion Alums. We hope seeing these players brings pride to our players and builds Trust, that if players commit to the process they have potential to play in college.
